Berwick-upon-Tweed is the most northerly town in England and is bursting at the seams with history!

Explore the wonders of Berwick’s history from the Medieval times right up to the 1990s with our packed programme of events.

What is there to see?

Berwick-upon-Tweed has such a rich history and our Heritage Open Days (HODs) events show this off to the full!

During the two weeks of HODs we offer everything from online talks to graveyard walks. We also offer you the chance to take a look at buildings and sites often closed to the public.

Join us between 6th - 15th September to explore what Berwick has to offer.

As well as open buildings we have a huge range of talks, tours and walks!

Visit Palace Green Pavilion this Heritage Open Days. Originally built as a reading and billiards room the building is now used by the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and is let out to community groups including Brownies, Guides, Table Tennis and Dog Trainin
